One of Artesia's favorite holidays -- Homecoming! -- has returned, and our schools, teams, and organizations are ready to spend the week of Sept. 14-19 putting their Big Orange pride on full display! 🧡
They say it's a dry heat in New Mexico, but we're adding a little humidity to that with this year's theme: "Welcome to the Jungle: Where Bulldogs Reign!"
Here's a rundown of everything you need to know to celebrate in true City of Champions style.
DRESS-UP DAYS 🎩🧦
Nothing gets students in the Homecoming spirit like dress-up days, and each of our schools will be offering chances to get creative leading up to Game-Day Friday -- when, of course, everyone will be donning their orange, white, and black!
From Indiana Jones Day to jungle tourists, monkeying around with crazy socks to carrying your books in anything but a backpack, see the flyers below to start planning your outfits! Flyers are listed in the following order:

PARADE 🚗🚙🚙
There's still time to register your entry for the AHS Homecoming Parade, which will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, in the Bulldog Bowl parking lot and proceed east on Main Street to Second Street. The 'Dogs will be taking on the Gadsden Panthers (colors: maroon and gold) in the Homecoming Game at 7 p.m. Friday.
Entries are now subject to a $10 late fee, but you can fill out your form and pay in the AHS main office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. or contact Jennifer Humble or Ashley Mason at 575-746-9816, jhumble@bulldogs.org, or amason@bulldogs.org.
BONFIRE 🔥
Artesia High School will host its bonfire at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, in the vacant lot behind the old Bulldog Superette (that building on the northwest corner of 13th Street and Grand Avenue, for those who weren't fortunate enough to know!).
Be sure to bring your s'mores supplies for an extra sweet evening of fun with your classmates to kick off Homecoming Week.
SPIRIT SUPPLIES 🔖
Elementary students and kindergartners will be able to purchase spirit supplies from the Football Booster Club and AHS cheerleaders on Friday morning, Sept. 18, at their respective schools!
HOMECOMING COURT 👑
The 2026 AHS Homecoming Court will be crowned during the pep assembly scheduled for noon Friday in the old boys' gym at AHS. The Court will be presented in that afternoon's parade, as well as prior to the football game at Bulldog Bowl.
TAILGATE 🍔
The Artesia High School track and field program will have your pregame supper covered on Friday, Sept. 18. Their Homecoming Night tailgate will run from 4-7 p.m. in the horseshoe parking lot in front of Bulldog Pit. Meals include a pulled pork sandwich, chips, dessert, and a drink. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased from any track team member or by commenting on this Facebook post.
FOOTBALL GAME 🏈
The Bulldogs will be taking on the Gadsden Panthers in this year's Homecoming Game at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Bulldog Bowl. Tickets can be purchased in advance via GoFan by clicking here. Physical tickets may be purchased by cash or check from 8 a.m. - noon Friday in the AHS Athletic Office at Bulldog Pit.
DANCE 🕺
The Homecoming Dance will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at CC1. Entry fee will be $10 or free for those presenting a Homecoming Game ticket.
NOTE:
Yeso Elementary School will not be hosting its
traditional Enchilada Supper at Park Junior High this year.
