It's Say Something Week! Together, we can create a safer, stronger school community. If you see something, say something! #weareziaintermediate #itsgreattobeabulldog

Hello Parents/Guardians, due to the weather, administration and I have decided to not participate in Music Performance Assessment in Hobbs, Tuesday March 4th (tomorrow). It was a tough call, however your student's safety is our top priority. Luckily, we have spoken with the president of the organization, and they will be able to schedule a private event for us right here in Artesia to meet our state requirements. We are so grateful that not only will our students be able to perform here at Estelle Yates Auditorium, but this also means more families will be able to attend the performance of this wonderful music. Students will not need to wear performance attire to school tomorrow and can participate in Mardi Gras Dress up day! Thank you again for your understanding and we will communicate dates and time as soon as they are scheduled.

GIRLS BASKETBALL RE-SCHEDULED GAME:

Good evening APS Family!
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the ongoing inclement weather. Due to potentially hazardous road conditions tomorrow morning, Friday, January 10, Artesia Public Schools will be on a 3 HOUR DELAY. We have selected a 3 HOUR DELAY instead of a 2 hour as we feel it will need additional time to warm up. Buses will run on a schedule that is 3 hours later than their normal pickup times. There will be no PRESCHOOL on Friday.
We encourage everyone to stay safe and warm. If conditions worsen, we will provide more updates.
Thank you for your continued support!
Ms. DeHoyos and the Zia Team

Athletic event update due to weather

The Artesia Public Schools have CANCELED ALL CLASSES TODAY. Travel is dangerous and discouraged. Stay in and stay warm. We will see you tomorrow.

The Artesia Public Schools will be on a 2-HOUR DELAY today, Thursday, January 9th due to a forecast of increased freezing precipitation later this morning. We will continue to monitor the roads and will send updates as needed. Buses will run on a schedule that is 2 hours later than their normal pickup times.

As we prepare to return to school tomorrow, please have your students charge and update their computers if possible.
We are excited to begin our second semester.
