Peñasco Elementary School is located in the rural community of Hope, NM where we serve students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Though we are small in numbers, our students make a big impact on our community life.

We are fortunate to be able to give each student who comes through our doors individualized attention. As stewards of our community’s most precious resources, we strive to help each of our students develop academically and to provide them with the tools they need to succeed beyond the walls of the elementary school classroom. In partnership with our community, we all strive to succeed.

We invite all parents and community members to join our PTO. We hope you’ll help us as we serve the best interests of our students and community members. Your small investment of time (we only meet twice a year!) yields big rewards for our students and our community.
